He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Johnson and Georgine Johnson (Bergerson); his son Scott Johnson; his brother John Johnson; his parents-in-law, Orville and Ruth Stevens; and his brothers-in-law, Charles Will, Harold Stevens and Lyle Stevens.

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Johnson; his son Steven Johnson (Jodi); his grandchildren, Christian and Kiley; his siblings, Jean Holman (Ron), Joan Will and Jerry Johnson (Mary); and his sister-in-law Joyce Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
