With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert M. Simon (Merrill, Wisconsin), who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 88. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Herbert M. Simon to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Simon and Lena Simon (Steger); his siblings, Stephan, Edward, Richard, Margaret Wildman and Rosalie Bergman; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Wildman, Clyde Zahn, Vinol Bergman, Verlyn Yonke, Victor Prueser, Evelyn Simon and Kathleen Prueser.
He is survived by: his wife Mardell Simon of Merrill; his children, Michael Simon (Sarah) of Madison, Debra Caldie (Jerry) of Green Bay, Denise Turckes of Green Bay and Wayne Simon of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Kara Bruley (Ben), Desiree Thompson (Aaron), Hilary Merrill (Seth), Alyssa Linsmeyer (Chase), Christian Turckes, Megan Turckes and Zachary Simon; his stepgranddaughter Abbie Talley (Jonathan); his sister Louise Zahn of Shawano; and his siblings-in-law, Elaine Simon, Marion Simon, Arlene Yonke, Sandy Prueser and Jerry Prueser (Sue). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Wearing a mask and social distancing will be required at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or School in Merrill, or the charity of your choice.
