We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2021, at the age of 94, Dorothy Kanitz (Merrill, Wisconsin) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Katherine Doering (Bloechl) and Harry Doering; her husband Marvin; her brothers, Roy and Norbert Doering; and her siblings-in-law, Nancy Doering and Lester Sukow.
She is survived by: her children, Kaye Rell (Jim), Bruce Kanitz (Paula), Jan Lemmer and Mark Kanitz; her grandchildren, Renee Fredel (Dave), Kevin Rell (Sandy), Missy Cayley (John), Megan Anderson (Jared), Becca Kanitz, Matt Kanitz (Khayla), Jason Lemmer (Jenny), Jamie Bronsteatter (Kent), Jenny Lemmer (Missy), Leah Strand (Nathan) and Lisa Folta (Dan); and her siblings, Elaine Sukow and Harry Doering (Joyce). She is also survived by 33 great grandchildren.
Social distancing and masks will be required at the funeral home and church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy's name may be directed to St. Francis Catholic Church or school.
