He is survived by: his wife Kathy Coates; his children, Carissa "Carrie" Kraucyk (Shannon), Carla Emmer (Chad), Joshua Coates, Joel Coates (SamiJo), Lisa Holbrook (Brian) and Jeff Jajnter; and his siblings, Calvin Coates (Miriam), Chari Coates and Wilma Coates. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
