She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Schult and Ella Schult (Kleinschmidt); and her daughter Katherine Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband LeRoy Schmidt of Merrill; her children, Barb Bonke (Bryan) of Missouri, Brandon and Chris Maahs (Keith) of Merrill; her grandchildren, Ryan Maahs (Emily), Tyler Maahs (Kristin), Gina Zurbey (Nick) and Jacob Maahs (Amber); her son John Schmidt (Ellie) of Merrill; her granddaughter Katie Halvorson; her daughter JoAnn Brandenburg (Jeff); her granddaughter Jennifer Lee (Jon); her great grandchildren, Cale, Kaeden, Hudson, Kinley, Hayden, Bentley, Hollis, Owen, Hazel, Eldrick, Jazalyn and Juliann; and her siblings, Donna Block (Roger) and Allan Schult (Chris).
In lieu of flowers, family requests that donations in Carol's name be directed to the Trinity Lutheran Church.
