Rudolph G. Lange III Obituary
Formerly of Mequon. Began a new adventure on April 13, 2022 at the age of 87. On April 21, 1934, Rudy was born to the late Rudolf II and Frieda (nee Wodtke) in Milwaukee, WI. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife and best friend Bodil (nee Asmussen) on June 29, 1957. Together they enjoyed 65 years of married life together. Loving father of Linda (William) Rakow, Lori (David A.) Poull, Rudy IV (Heidi) and Randolph (Wendy). Proud G-pa of Jacque (Jason), Heidi (Kyle), D.J. (Jess), William (Ilona), Ashley (Kevin), R.J. (Laura), Paige (Nick), Rudy V (Lena), Brandon and Olivia. G-G-pa of Liam, Johannes, Eddie, Alexandria and Ava and Hazel. Dear brother of Wally (Clyda) and brother-in-law Jes (Colleen). Further survived by other relatives and friends.
Rudy attended UW Madison and graduated in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in business and two years of ROTC service. The Army called him to serve the day after graduation as an engineer. In 1958 he started working full time at Lange Bros. Woodwork Co., Inc. As a youth, he began as a helper and worked his way to become one of the company's presidents and co-owners. His hobbies included photography, travel, woodwork crafts, truck driving, gardening and audio books. He was a lifelong member of North Shore Congregational Church. He was very generous giving time, evergreen trees or a cutting board to many others on his adventures.
Private services were held. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rudy's name are appreciated to North Shore Congregation Church, Fox Point, WI.
