He was predeceased by: his former wife Patricia Carol Guy. He is survived by: his parents, William Holmes and Julia Holmes; his wife Jan Effinger; his children, John Holmes (Rita) of Stratham, NH, David Holmes (Irene Alarcon) of Mequon, WI and Amy Hargroves (Jeff) of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Samara, Annika, Jackson and Katie; and his brothers, Harry Holmes (Ann) of Longmont, CO, Richard Holmes (Marilyn) of Lake Bluff, IL and Kenneth Holmes (Toni) of Farmington, IL.. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials in Bob's name may be made to the Christ Church Choir.
