Harry John Kollman Obituary
Harry Kollman, age 80, of Mequon, Wisconsin passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2022, surrounded by his family. Harry was the beloved husband and best friend of Bettina for 57 years, the loving father of Eric (Lorraine), Natalie (Brian), and Gretchen, an adoring, fun-loving grandfather of Scott, Isabella, Justin, and Bettina, and devoted brother of Paul (Carita) and Alice (Richard). He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Harry graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a BA and MA in Political Science and Economics. He worked for 33 years in the field of City Management in Ames IA, Jackson MO, Riverview MI, Cocoa FL, and Mequon WI. Harry was an avid bridge player and loved music, golf, hiking, biking, kayaking, and especially travelling with his family. He was known for his infectious smile and his great sense of humor. As a parishioner of Lumen Christi in Mequon, Harry was involved in Christ Renews. His Parish and volunteered in the St. Vincent De Paul Meal program. Harry loved the Lord and took comfort in knowing he would be able to meet Jesus in the afterlife.
Harry's funeral will be on Friday, July 22 at Lumen Christi Parish in Mequon. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:45am, eulogies from 10:45-11am, and Mass at 11am with inurnment to follow. A reception will be held in St. Cecelia Hall from 12:30-2:00pm. Harry was a National Park enthusiast and great supporter.
