He was predeceased by: his parents, John Courtis and Bessie Courtis; and his niece Jacque Moore (Curry). He is survived by: his wife Ginny (Curry); his children, Leah, John and David; his sibling Sandy Schramm (Mark); his siblings-in-law, Tom Curry (Kim), Pat Rankins (Jeff) and Janet Melzer (Jeff); and his nieces and nephews, Andy, Dan, John Schramm, Abigail Curry, Shannon Granger (Murphy), Kevin Moore, Jillian Smith (Matt) and Marisa Hosier (Cory). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Medical College of Wisconsin for Melanoma Research, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma Organization International, in memory of George Courtis, are appreciated.
