Curtis Welke Lang Obituary

On Dec. 14, 2024, Curtis Welke Lang passed away at the age of 94. 1 Corinthians 13: "Love never ends.". Curt was born Sept. 28, 1930, in Milwaukee to Margaret (Welke) and Henry (Jack) Lang. His extended family included his brother Bill, his grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousin Richard Cass who all were major influences in his life.

Curt taught his children to always love God and treasure family. He was a devoted husband and proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his three children: Curt "Chip" Lang, Cindy (Kim) Skadahl and Mary (Craig) Michelson. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was an active member of the Masons, Eastern Star, Kiwanis Club and Christ Church Mequon where he and Jean began and established the Live Nativity, an annual Christmas family event.

Curt loved playing tennis, painting, whistling, playing cards, going to the family cabin up north, and Culver's shakes. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Curt hoped for a good life, but fulfilled the BEST life.

The family wishes to thank and praise the kind staff at Lasata Care Center for their compassionate, loving care and dignity given to our parents in their final days of life.

We'd like to end with our parents' favorite Bible quote: "Love is reflected in love.". In their honor we're asking you to pay-it-forward in whatever way and at any time you'd like. And - as you silently share your gift, please smile and think of our parents. Those gifts will be a continuation of their legacy of love reflecting love. Thank you.

We will be celebrating Curt's life on Sat. January 11, 2025, at Christ Church 13460 N Port Washington Rd, Mequon, WI.
