Christopher Richard Small Obituary
Christopher Richard Small of Port Washington WI, born August 23, 1976 found eternal peace at age 48, on Dec 21, 2024. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Paul Gray and grandparents, John and Patricia Kraniak. He is survived by his loving Mother, Jeanne Gray and by his brother, Benjamin Small (Bethany), niece and nephew, Parker and Skylar Small and his brother, Patrick Gray. And by his children Jaedyn Small 21, Ian Small 19, and stepson, Cameron Pape 25. He was loved dearly and will also be missed by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
Chris enjoyed a great love of music throughout his life and started playing the saxophone at a young age. He later taught himself to play both piano and guitar. He was a member of several bands through the years which brought him great joy and satisfaction. He was an extremely talented artist, often expressing his feelings through dark, very meaningful, and deeply intriguing artistic drawings. He had a love of the outdoors, beginning with many trips his family took out west to the Black Hills of SD, Yellowstone and Glacier National parks. When he was younger, he enjoyed mountain biking and in later years loved to take long hikes, always trying to connect his spirit with nature.
Chris enjoyed many friendships throughout his life, having had a kind and compassionate demeanor and an endearing sense of humor. He shared an especially deep and special bond with his lifelong best friend and younger brother, Ben. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family who loved him very much and will miss him greatly.
Visitation will be held on Jan 4th, from 9:30 until time of memorial service at 11:30 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home 10280 N. Port Washington Rd, Mequon.
