He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Giertz and Anne Wagner (Newman). He is survived by: his former wife Nancy Hintz; his wife Pam Purdy; his children, Amy Gilberts (Scott) and Cory Giertz (Molly); his grandchildren, Grant, Charles, Mack, Grace, Beau and Joseph; and his siblings, Terry Giertz (Rosie), Linda Hogg (Wayne), Bob Giertz, Kim Karis (Dave), Missy Hinrichs (Rick) and Marcie Tomlinson (Ben Reeser).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dunn County Fish & Game in Randy's memory.
