He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl M. Nelson and Marian Nelson (Knutson); his brother-in-law Marty Matchey; and his nephew-in-law Mike Obmascher. He is survived by: his siblings, Joan Matchey of Blair, Roger Nelson (Beverly) of Blair and Rosanne Thompson (Bruce) of Osseo; his nieces and nephews, Kristi Obmascher of Evansville, Karyn Matchey of Evansville, Mari Jo Ulrich (Jeff) of Washburn, Hilary Walters (Isaac) of Blair, Haley Nehring (Josh) of Madison and Nels Nelson of Winona; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Quinn Grovesteen Matchey of Laramie, WY, Noelle, Lillian Walters of Blair and Isaiah Nehring of Madison.
