He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Knops and Dorothy Knops (Pickerign); his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Judy Haugerud; his niece Dawn Knops; and his father-in-law Alvin Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Christine Knops of Milwaukee, Teresa Knops (Seth Lyon) of Portland, OR and Greg Knops (Raquel) of Madison; his granddaughters, Liv and Madelyn Knops of Madison; his sisters, Anita Harvey (James) of Ocala, FL and Jayne Lorenz (Gerald) of Knapp; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Knops of Menomonie, David (Diane) and Jim Olson (Laurie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
