William Dudley Millard Obituary
William Dudley Millard passed away, surrounded by his family, on April 5th, 2024 at the age of 85. He was Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania to Ernest Horatio Millard, Sr. and Myrtle Elizabeth Wright on November 10th, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ernest Horatio Millard, Jr.
Bill was a proud member of the Navy Reserves and spent time on the aircraft carrier, USS Anteitam. After, he attended the University of Maine and then worked for the United States Forest Service for 42 years. This work took him to the west coast where he met Judy Charlene Evert. They recently celebrated 60 years of marriage together. Bill and Judy share three children; Ernest Evert and his wife Lisa, Marianne Elizabeth Barlett and her husband Rich, and Ethan Chapman and his wife Sarah. Bill and Judy also share nine grandchildren; Molly and Maggie Burger, Charlie, Spencer and Simon Barlett, Lizzie, Eddie, Griffin and Graham.
Bill was passionate about and proud of his family. He shared with them a love of the outdoors, travel, sports, animals, and learning. He and Judy never missed the kids', and then grandkids' sporting events and were forever their #1 fans. He loved fishing trips with the boys, road-trips with Judy, visiting his daughter's family in Pennsylvania, and all-night blackjack heaters in Vegas with the boys.
Bill is sorely missed by his family.
Visitation will be held from 2-3:30 followed by a short service on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home (N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051).
The family invites you to join them for a celebration of Bill's life at the Ruby Tap in Mequon following the service.
