Thomas H. Freckmann Obituary
Of Menomonee Falls, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Tom was born in Milwaukee, on August 2, 1934, a son of Kermit and Beulah (nee Koch) Freckmann. After high school Tom enlisted in the Army and proudly served during the Korean Conflict. After his time served, Tom married Marlene Lotter on May 11, 1957, and they made their home in Menomonee Falls. For several years he worked for Clark Oil and in 1965 was transferred to Cedar Rapids, Iowa. An entrepreneur at heart, after two years in Cedar Rapids, Tom, moved his family back to Menomonee Falls, WI and opened Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental in Milwaukee. After many years of hard work and dedication, he sold that business in 1978 and joyfully stayed on as the General Manager until 1988. Still wanting to work, Tom shifted gears and opened Tranco Heavy Transportation where he retired from in 1994. Tom was the life of the party and had a wonderful sense of humor. One of his famous sayings was "I'm in good shape for the shape I am in.". He was the ray of sunshine many were drawn to. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, playing cards with his card club buddies, and singing, especially the Ein Prosit song. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially at his cabin on Red Lake in Presque Isle, and with his loyal friends. Tom's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him. Tom will be dearly missed by his wife, Marlene; children, Steven (Debbie) Freckmann, Larry (Kathy) Freckmann, Mary Beth Freckmann, John (Suzanne) Freckmann; daughter-in-law, Jody (Tim) Weiss; 16 grandchildren, Danielle (Ryan) Helmer, Jackson Freckmann, Stevie Rae Freckmann, Nina Freckmann, Aubrey Freckmann, Harrison (Lauren) Dunn, Simon Ehlers, Madeleine (Andrew) Gerbitz, Matt Freckmann, Nick Freckmann, Julia Freckmann, Claire (fiancé' Javonta Thomas) Freckmann, Tommy (Ayesha) Freckmann, Tony Freckmann, Joe Freckmann, and Sam Freckmann; great-granddaughter, Roma Freckmann; brothers, Lloyd (Aileen Ferris) Freckmann and Walter (Patricia) Freckmann. Tom is further survived by many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Freckmann, parents, brother, Jim Freckmann and sister, Diane Tuzee.
The visitation for Tom will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at St. Mary Catholic Church, N89 W16297 Cleveland Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 from 9:30AM until the time of the Mass at 11AM.
