Sally grew up in Washington Illinois. She married Frank in June of 1961 and shortly after moved to Wisconsin. This is where they raised their family.
Sally was a devoted and caring wife to Frank for all of their marriage. During Franks last years, he suffered from dementia. She was his constant and heroic care giver during that time.
Sally was an amazing mom. She devoted her entire life to her children. Their happiness was her most important priority. She was selfless and giving in every way.
Sally's greatest joy in life was being Mimi to Matt, Nick, Sam, Emma and Cal. There was nothing she enjoyed more than sleep overs, shopping, walks to the park, playing cards or just listening to music and enjoying time together.
Sally was a great baker and cook. An avid reader. Great card player and just loved an adventure. Any sentence started "Mom do you want to….". Did not need to be finished. The answer was always 'YES" Whether it was a trip to the grocery store or New York, she was ready to go. She also loved sharing her breakfast with her best buddy Riley.
Sally was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Everyone that met Sally instantly loved her. She was a joy to be around and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Our special thanks to the nurses and doctors in the ICU at St Mary's Ozaukee for the amazing care given to both Sally and her family these last few days. To Dr Nand and the oncology group for the incredible care that was taken over the last several years. To Pastor Bill Beyer for his prayer, guidance and sense of humor.
There will be a family service for Sally at a future date.
