Robert F. Prellwitz Obituary

Robert "Bob" Prellwitz, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on November 2, 2024 at the age of 89.

Bob was born on July 24, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI to George and Alma Prellwitz. He met the love of his life, Marilyn, at a UW-Madison homecoming weekend, and they shared 65 years of marriage. In 1968, they moved from Milwaukee to Oconomowoc where they raised their family.

Family was at the center of Bob's life. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones, taking a genuine interest in every milestone, achievement, and story. Bob will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and bright smile.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn; his children Julie (Matt) Erlandson, Mary (Dan) Rupnow, and Mike (Julie) Prellwitz; grandchildren Bill (Jessica) Rupnow, Leanne Rupnow-Sienknecht, Edd, and Sadie Prellwitz; and great-grandchildren Ivan, Neil, Elise, and Nora. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dorothy Prellwitz, and his brother Jim Prellwitz.

A private family service was held in his memory.
