Paul Allen Fehlhaber Obituary
How ironic! Facing my best audience ever, and I'm speechless! This will have to do.
I, Paul Allen Fehlhaber, was born April 15, 1936 (tax day and Lincoln's death day) the second son of Clarence and Lorraine (nee Nemacheck) Fehlhaber in West Allis, preceded in birth by Clarence Jr. (Margaret) and followed by Eugene (Jan), Karen (Harley), Eric (Sue), and Dennis.
I lived my entire life in the North Shore area where "Far from the madding crowd's ignoble strife, my sober wishes never learned to stray.". I based my life on Four Foundational F's: Family, Friends, Faith, and --Fotography! From family we learn of all our worthy traits (and warts, too!). From friends we experience rewarding times and lifelong relationships, as we join Tennyson's Ulysses in affirming "I am a part of all I have met.". From Faith we learn of the right paths to take, leading us to this end.
And I leave Fotography as my legacy, as I spent forty years proving that "Yearbooks are forever!". No one will need an outmoded digital device to enjoy what I and generations of devoted yearbookies produced.
While this writing might qualify as tragic, I'll close with a bit of Shakesperean comic relief: "I pray you'll remember the porter.".
