Pat was bornin Buffalo, NY, and, as the daughter of a GM executive, grew up in suburban Detroit and Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Holy Redeemer High School in Flint. She received a degree in Sociology from Marquette University and a MSW from the University of Hawaii.

She began working for Milwaukee County in 1969 as a probation officer in Children's Court. She later served as the court's Chief Probation Officer. Following her retirement, she was President and CEO of Independent Care from 1996 to 1999.

Pat was a member of the County's Commission on Aging from 1996 to 2002 and continued to serve the Commission until 2018. She also was a member of the Wisconsin's Pharmacy Prior Authorization Committee, the Coalition of Wisconsin Aging Groups and the State Senior Care Advisory Committee.

Pat met her husband, Tom, on a blind date and they were married in 1970. She was an avid traveler and was proud of having visited all seven continents. She also enjoyed baseball and saw the Brewers play in every MLB stadium except Jacob's Field in Cleveland. (A strike began the day after that trip started and her rules did not permit do overs.). She and Tom enjoyed curling and have been members of the Milwaukee Curling Club for more than 50 years.

Pat is survived by her husband and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jean (Mueller) Lenahan and two brothers, Paul Jr., and James. Per her wishes, no service will be held and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
