Olivemae Olson Obituary
Olivemae Olson - nee (Klingman) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 1, 2022.
Mom had many hats (roles) in life, her most cherished hat was that of wife. Married to Captain David Olson for 42+ years the two were inseparable, a love so true time will not heal the emptiness in David's heart. The hat of Mother to Wendy Roehr (Bill), Deb Snow (Dennis Jahnke), Mary Simon, Jeff Simon (Patty) Stepmother to Dave Olson Jr. (Margaret), Doug Olson (Patti), and Patty Olson. The hat of sister, sister-in-law, grandma, great grandma, aunt, great auntie and friend.
Mom loved God and family, she looked forward to family functions and gatherings, especially the Klingman family reunion and New Year's Day celebration. It took all year to prepare for some events, but she was a planner and very organized so made sure not to miss a beat. She loved whistling to the birds - it made us laugh because it seemed the birds were whistling back at her, she loved car rides, Christmas, dancing, gardening, yardwork, strawberry ice cream, adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved being silly and making others laugh. Mom was a strong woman, had a mind of her own and was opinionated with her thoughts and beliefs. These are some of the reasons we will miss her dearly and she will forever be in our hearts.
