Michael G. Winter Obituary
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the age of 86. Beloved husband and high school sweetheart of Joyce (nee Twelmeyer) Winter for 69 years. Loving father of Michele (the late Dave) Zgola, Julie (Brian) Henke and Mark Winter (Beth Bojarski). Cherished grandfather of Alyssa Henke (Michael Siverling). Dear brother of Robert (the late Jean) Winter, John Winter and Richard (Dawn) Winter. Mike is preceded in death by his sisters' Eleanor (Jim) Suszek and Jo Ann (Tony) Mulert and brother-in-law Richard Twelmeyer. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.
Mike enjoyed life to the fullest. He surrounded himself with his family, friends and everything outdoors. Whether playing on his machines, gator-rides at sunset with his high school sweetheart, hunting, or spending time on the water, his days were filled with love and laughter. If you asked him how he was doing, the answer was always "Fine and Dandy!". He will be forever remembered.
He had an amazing 35-year career as an operating engineer - running the big machines, digging basements, grading and "playing in the mud" for Bruch Brothers.
Visitation to be held on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 3:30 PM until time of Memorial Service at 5:30 PM at Schmidt & Bartelt – Menomonee Falls; N84 W17937 Menomonee Ave. Immediately following will be a Celebration of Life reception.
