Mary Ann Wallace Obituary
Of Menomonee Falls, went to her home in heaven, on Thursday, May 3, 2024, at the age of 89 years. Mary Ann was born in New Ulm, Minnesota, on February 28, 1935, a daughter of Erwin and Ann (nee Johanneck) Hoffmann. Having received a degree in Nursing, Mary Ann was passionate about her role in helping her patients. Holding various positions throughout the years she took considerable pride in her calling as a Nurse. Mary Ann married the love of her life, James Wallace on August 3, 1957. Together they made their home in Menomonee Falls. A woman with a kind, generous, and nurturing spirit, Mary Ann was always there to lend a helping hand to someone in need. With a listening ear she would often give sound advice, support, and encourage others in any way she could. Though she was not a culinary expert, her poolside lunches were always a fan favorite and something everyone enjoyed. Mary Ann had a quick wit and a fun sense of humor. Her favorite place to get away was to the "Good Cheere" cottage, in Waupaca, WI. She also enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. Having visited Hawaii, Mexico, Canada, Nevada and many places in between, Germany was the one place she never made it to. Mary Ann will always be remembered by those she loved dearly her kids, grandsons, and grand dogs. She will forever be cherished in their hearts and those family and friends she crossed paths with throughout life.
Mary Ann is survived by her kids, Doug Wallace, and Debra Ann Wallace; grandsons, James (Nicole) Osterman, Joe (Claire) Osterman, Ben Osterman, Tommy Osterman, Jason Wallace, and Christopher Wallace; family dog, Muffy; grand dogs, Grimm, and Kook; other relatives and many friends. She is preceded in death by her husband James; daughter, Patricia; parents and grand dog, Jax.
The visitation for Mary Ann will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 10AM until the time of the 11:30AM Mass of Christian Burial, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, N88 W17658 Christman Rd., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. Burial will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Menomonee Falls at 2:30PM (please meet at the cemetery).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
