Passed away on March 24, 2024 at the proud age of 86.
Loving mom of Debbie (Joe) Retzer, Paul (Cheryl) Hofschulte, Sue (Carl) Vogl, Julie (Harry) Ballas, and Michael (Elizabeth) Hofschulte.
Proud grandma of Andrew, Brenda (Corey), Jenny (Kyle), and Nyxx.
Sister of Thomas (Lisa) Kuehl, and William Kuehl (Joan Moser-Kuehl). Sister-in-law to Mary Hofschulte and Sharon Zoellner.
Treasured aunt of Bob Zoellner, Pat Zoellner, Mark Zoellner, Eric Hofschulte, John Kuehl, Michael Kuehl, Christina Paradise, and Sam Kuehl. Godmother to Anne Schmidt. She shared a special relationship with nephew Jeff Moser-Kuehl and niece Terri Allen.
Adopted Mom to Janet Spicuzza.
Further survived by other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her husband Carl Hofschulte, her parents Hugo and Frances, sister-in-law Sr. Adele Marie, brothers-in-law Gordon and Robert, as well as other family.
Mary Ann worked at a phone company when she was younger, and as a restorative aide at Luther Manor for many years.
Mary Ann loved to work on puzzles, reading, and spending time with her family. She was proud to report that up until Covid started she was attending weekly exercise and Tai Chi classes. She loved her birds Lulu, Jingles and Billy Boy. In her younger years she enjoyed square dancing with Carl, Mike & Julie, and she always had a large vegetable garden at her home. She loved her birthday sleepovers with her girls!
A short visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 to 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 11. Friday, April 12 will be a second visitation at 10am until time of service at 11am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church (N88W17658 Christman Rd, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051).
