Marjorie A. Wappenschmidt Obituary
Marjorie A. Wappenschmidt (nee Fohr), devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on May 8, 2024 at age 88.
She is survived by her loving children, James Wappenschmidt Jr. and Patricia (Wappenschmidt) Meints; adored grandchildren, Rebecca Mertens, Ian Wappenschmidt, Nathan Meints, Elizabeth Meints; and precious great grandchildren Christopher and Wyatt Mertens. Also left to cherish her memory is her younger sister Pat Fohr.
Margie was born to Karl and Arvella (nee Weber) Fohr in Muskego, Wisconsin. Following graduation from Mukwonago High School in 1954, she worked at St. Lukes Hospital as a Nurses' Aid.
After Margie met James Sr., a love story began, and they married in October of 1956. She then went on to work with him at National Foods as a meat wrapper. Margie and Jim built their "forever home" in Mukwonago and were married for 64 years before Jim passed away in 2020.
Margie was preceded in death by her beloved husband James Sr., brother Karl (Sonny), and sister Marilyn (Bruinsma).
Margie's final resting place will be at Oak Knoll Cemetery in Mukwonago.
