Marge M. Schwartz Obituary
Marge M. Schwartz (nee Metcalf) was born to eternal life on Wednesday, December 14th, 2022 at the age of 97. She was born in Montello WI to the late John and Hallie Metcalf and was raised on a farm along with her brother Jack and sister Kay. She married fellow Montello High School student Milton Schwartz and eventually moved to Glendale WI where they raised 3 daughters and 2 sons. Marge was an avid sports fan which included the many sporting events her children participated in. She loved playing cards, doing crossword puzzles, reading and traveling to visit her son John in California. A big event in her life was when she and now late husband Milton made a special trip to Switzerland and Ireland to meet extended family members that they knew only through their parents' letters. Marge retired from Financial Adjustment Company on December 30th, 1986, the day her first grandchild was born and had the pleasure of babysitting daily for her. The most important things in her life were her faith, her husband, and her family. If you were to walk around and talk with fellow tenants of the Gables, you would hear nothing but positivity about Marge and how so many people counted on her for encouragement and uplifting prayers to strengthen everyone's faith. In fact, for many years, Marge led the weekly prayer hour at her residency.
Marge is survived by Janice (Dan) Eble, John Schwartz, Julie Schwartz, and Mary (Randy) Brochtrup. She was the cherished grandmother of Kimberly, Maxwell, Kelly, Katie, Matthew, Riley, Spencer, and great-grandmother to Declan and Kinsley. She also has so many nieces and nephews. Marge is preceded in death by husband Milton, son Jim, sister Kay Ropella, and brother Jack Metcalf.
Marge will be laid to rest privately next to Milton at St. John the Baptist in Montello WI.
