Jim Schraufnagel Obituary
James R. Schraufnagel passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at the age of 75. A visitation for Jim will be held on Tuesday April 26th at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 4:00 – until 6:45. A service will begin at 7:00 pm.
James R. Schraufnagel was born in Milwaukee, WI to Raymond and Grace Schraufnagel on August 15th 1946. He went to Frances Jordan High School in Milwaukee, WI. He then became a master plumber and owned J&P Plumbing in Waukesha, WI.
Jim loved spending lots of time with his family and would brag about his grandchildren to anyone who would listen. Jim loved Friday night fish fries with family and in recent years he spent most Fridays going to dinner with his siblings. Jim also loved hunting, fishing and spent lots of time riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles, even one that he custom built. He went on several motorcycle trips to Sturgis and Daytona, countless fishing trips to Canada and a fishing trip to Alaska when he had the biggest catch of his life a 500+ pound halibut. Jim was a kind man with a positive outlook on life and brought smiles to the faces of those around him.
James is preceded in death by his parents Ray and Grace Schraufnagel, his brother Robert Schraufnagel, Sister Cindy (Schraufnagel) Leggett, sister-in-law Carrie Schraufnagel, sister-in-law Pat Schraufnagel and his granddaughter Jennavieve Grace Etzel.
James is survived by Lisa (Ron) Etzel, Traci (Jon) Locke, grandchildren Braden and Jackson Etzel and Jackson and Ava Locke, his siblings Jean Alexander, Nanci (Schraufnagel) Babbitt, Richard Schraufnagel, and Linda Schraufnagel, his ex-wife Patricia Henriott and many nieces and nephews.
