Passed away unexpectedly on June16, 2023-he was 65 years old. Loving dad of Allie (Jodie) Huey and Nick (Julia) Heim. Proud Papa of Elleanor and Cecilia Huey, Emilia Heim, Hank, Owen, George, and Charlie Moss. Dear brother of Mary Jo (Tammy) Heim and their children Basil and Ethan. Loving partner or Erica Feltner. He is also survived by Erica's daughters, Erinn (David) Moss and Riley (fiancé Alex Banna) Feltner. Further survived by his first wife, Kim Heim, other loving relatives, close friends, and colleagues.
Jeff, fondly known as "Huge", was born to Merrill and Joan Heim, on November 9, 1957. He grew up in Menomonee Falls with his parents and sister, graduating from Menomonee Falls North in 1975. He went on to attend University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, graduating in 1980. After graduating, Jeff started as a Safety Engineer and continued his career within the insurance industry. Over the next 18 years he formed life-long professional relationships. In 1998, he joined former colleagues at Information Providers, Inc., (IPI).
In his role as Executive Vice President, Jeff led their Sales and Technology Divisions with inspiring passion. His drive for excellence was revered by colleagues and clients alike. Jeff's vision and legacy will live on for years to come. He retired in April of 2023 after 25 years with IPI. Jeff's pride of family, instinctual leadership, and perpetual drive resonate through his chlidren. Jeff was a proud member of Safari Club International, NRA, Amateur Trapshooting Association, and a host of local gun clubs.
He was an avid hunter, a passion he passed on to Nick and Jodie. There wasn't a Packers game Jeff missed, a player he didn't know, or an NFL draft he wasn't critiquing-all of which he aligned with his self-imposed duties as a shareholder and armchair coach. He and Erica enjoyed hosting Super Bowl parties in "The Boar's Nest" with large groups of friends. Jeff was a loyal friend to many. He proudly attended the "Boat Trip" with the boys for multiple decades and was looking forward to 2023. Jeff was eager to enjoy retirement; he joined a trap shooting league and planned a trip to spend time with his granddaughters this summer.
Erica and Jeff enjoyed traveling in search of Wisconsin's best supper club. Among the many lists Jeff had, was his recently drafted retirement "to-do" list. It included plans for travel, hunting trips, and continued self-improvement of various hobbies and skills. Above all Jeff looked forward to spending more quality time with his family and friends. Visitation for Jeff will be held Saturday June 24th at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls from 1 PM until the time of sharing at 3:30 PM.
