Jans Corrine Rose Obituary

Corrine Rose Jans (nee Sanato), beloved mother and honorary grandmother, passed away on January 4, 2025, at age 98. She is reunited with her beloved husband of over 50 years, George.

Corrine was born in Waukegan, IL. on October 23, 1926 to parents Emil and Mary (nee Rebella) Sanato.

Left to cherish Corrine's memory are her loving sons Ronald G. (Debbie) and Donald G. (Dee Merryfield) Jans, and dear sister JoAnne Longfield (nee Sanato).

Corrine enjoyed gardening with her husband on their farm in Illinois. Upon George's retirement, they moved in with their son Don and his wife Dee in Wisconsin. Corrine loved everyone being together under one roof and living in a home that was the center of many social gatherings…she loved a good party! Although she had no grandchildren by blood, Dee's grands quickly adopted Corrine as their own. Being with them and the rest of the family meant the world to her. However, there is no doubt that Corrine's greatest joy was her 2 sons … "the good one, and the bad one" is how her family would jokingly refer to them. She will be deeply missed as she was a mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

In addition to her parents and husband, Corrine was preceded in death by her brothers Joseph, James, and Richard Sanato, and sisters Gloria Gould and Elaine Brouillard.

Per Corrine's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
