Janice Phillips Obituary
Janice E. Phillips of Menomonee Falls, WI, died peacefully at Angels Grace Hospice on April 20, 2022, at the age of 73. Beloved wife of the late David G. Phillips, loving mother to Justin (Julia) Phillips, and proud grandmother to Sofia, Kiara, and Elena Phillips. Preceded by parents Robert and Esther Budish. Further survived by other loving relatives and friends.
Jan lived a full life in Wisconsin, enjoying 43 years of service at DRS Technologies and Eaton Corp, a long and blessed marriage to David, a wonderful son, Justin, and a devout faith and membership at St. Mary's and St. Bernadette's Catholic Parishes. It is Jan's faith and commitment to God that others always admired and appreciated. She was pleased to see her oldest Granddaughter enrolled in Catholic School, starting in preschool.
Beyond her faith, Jan was an exuberant woman who loved to live life. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and fine dining. Even in her final days, she enjoyed a splash of brandy and the special of the day. Her travels took her on annual trips to Florida with her dear friends of 54 years, Roger and Sue Wargula, and religious voyages to Israel and Italy.
It is Jan's spirit and faith that we will all take with us until we meet again on the other side, as she used to say.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and volunteers at Angels Grace Hospice for their dedicated care and support.
Visitation will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Parish, 8200 W Denver Street, Milwaukee, at 4:30 pm, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022. A reception following the service will be held at the church. A private burial will occur the following day for family and close friends.
