Jane Elsie Rintelman Obituary
Jane died peacefully on April 13, 2024 after a long fight with cancer.
Jane was born on Jan. 1, 1949, to the late Bill and Frances Wachholz and grew up in Colgate, WI. She attended a two-room school and graduated from Washington High School in Germantown, WI and UW-Whitewater.
In 1970 she married William Rintelman after he returned from Vietnam and they lived the outdoor life they loved in the woods of Erin. After Bill's early death, she moved to Menomonee Falls.
Jane was a teacher and librarian in the Hamilton School District for her entire career of over 30 years. She made many lifelong friends there and continued to see them regularly.
Jane was very social and enjoyed many activities including her poker club, mah jong at the senior center, book club and investment club. She was a sometime golfer and loved to fish.
Jane's real passion was travel and she saw much of the world after her retirement. She enjoyed spending summer weeks "Up North" and in Door County. These trips featured supper clubs and old fashioneds.
Jane is survived by her sister Betty Misurek (James), sister-in-law Beth Sorensen (Terry) and brother-in-law Michael Rintelman (Judith). She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and is also survived by cousins and other relatives.
Jane requested no funeral service but hoped her friends and relatives would gather to celebrate her life. Details to follow.

Private burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Menomonee Falls, WI.
