Gertrude M. Rauen Obituary
Of Menomonee Falls Born to Eternal Life on May 20, 2024, at the age of 95 years. Beloved wife of the late Jerome "Jerry" Rauen for 74 years. Loving mother of Larry (Fay) Rauen, Donna (late Curt), Allen, Judy (Dennis) Riemer, Gary (Barb) Rauen, and the late Terry (Dan) Perry. Proud Grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Gert will also be missed by close friends George and Mohamed from B52, her dear companion Barb, and other relatives and friends.
Gert is preceded in death by her parents James and Marie White; brothers Doug (Dorothy) White and James (Barbara) White; sisters Mildred "Dora" (Louis) Sieloff, Joyce (John) Williamson, and Shirley (Doug Pusa); and great-grandson Avery Rauen.
Gert worked for the Milwaukee Journal for 30 years. She was so proud of her family and her home. Earlier in life, she also enjoyed her garden, watching Packer games (mainly watching Brett Farve, her favorite player), puzzles, and bingo.
Visitation will be held at Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 10:30am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm (noon). In lieu of flowers, memorials to Brain Cancer Research in Joyce Williamson and Terry Perry's name would be greatly appreciated.
