Joe" Sturmberg of Menomonee Falls. Born to Eternal Life November 26, 2018, 93 years. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 57 years Marlene Lois (nee Seder). Cherished father of Jay (Monika), Kristy (Grady) Larson, Deborah (Joseph) Weisling and Scott. Loving grandfather of Timothy, Daniel and Andrew; Kimberli; Jeremy (Jessica) and Brynn; Matthew (Alesha) and Kelli. Proud great-grandfather of Emerson; Ivy; and great-grandson due in February. He will also be dearly missed by other friends and relatives along with his two kitties Dot & Dash. Memorial visitation will be at the Funeral Home (10121 W. North Ave., Wauwatosa, WI) on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 11AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) Waukesha or Milwaukee PBS appreciated. Shortly after graduating Wauwatosa High School in 1943, Joe proudly served his country in WWII and Korea in the United States Marine Corps with the 2nd and 4th Marine Divisions in Saipan, Tinian, and Okinawa, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. In peace he was proud to be a Marine, serving as president of the 2nd Marine Division Association. After 35 years as a leading expert in chemical sales and serving as president of the Wisconsin Chem Group, Joe founded Mountain Technologies a purveyor of environmentally-friendly lubricants. The last of the renaissance men, Joe enjoyed many hobbies including the Ozaukee Radio Club, the Society of Manufacturing Engineers, the Milwaukee Astronomical Society and the Wisconsin Amateur Radio Club where he could be found early mornings at KA9DFZ. With his quick wit, Joe always had a joke ready to make his grandkids giggle and his wife groan, he'll be missed by us all, including the New Yorker, who will have to find someone else's cartoons to reject.
