Finn Edward Katona Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Finn. Finn left us far too soon on January, 2nd 2025, at age 5 years old. Finn was a lively spark who brought boundless joy and warmth to our family and all who knew them. A precious soul, full of affection, love, and endless curiosity. Finn touched our lives in ways words can hardly capture.

From the moment he entered the world, Finn was had a joyful presence that radiated to others. Whether he was playing outside in the backyard with Dad and Beau, relaxing for a family movie night, or sharing a quiet snuggle and reading time with Mom, every second spent with him was a gift. Finn had an uncanny ability to bring lightness to situations. Quick to joke around and join in laughter, Finn brought positive vibes and energy to the room.

Finn loved his Super Heros and was intrigued by villains. He called them his "guys". He loved them all, but Captain America was his favorite. In our family, Finn was our superhero. He always was eager help out Mom and Dad, baby brother Sonny, and be the best sidekick to his big brother Beau. Finn was always eager to join Beau for whatever adventures they could create together. They were extremely close brothers that complimented each other beautifully.

Family time was sacred for Finn, he cherished every second spent with loved ones. Mom and Dad loved to take Beau, Finn and Sonny on all kinds of adventures and experiences. Finn enjoyed family vacations, up north, parks, playgrounds, the zoo, and countless hikes around the area. Finn was a social butterfly, but in spirit in he was a homebody. With the comfort of being with his family, at home, alongside his arsenal of toys and building materials, Finn felt safe and content. Finn's imagination was all he needed for a great day. Those days were cherished by the whole family. It was joy to watch Finn happy at play.

Finn was a dedicated student and loved going to school. He was focused, kind, and patient as a classmate, and took great pride in his work. Finn was very proud to be in the Saber Kitten wrestling program following in the footsteps of his big brother Beau. Finn loved to test his strength against Beau, and the two relished getting into little scraps. Finn was truly excited for new friendships, opportunities and things to learn.

Finn was always up for new hobbies just like his Dad. Finn loved fishing with Daddy. He enjoyed going out on the boat, but catching hungry Blue Gills from the dock was all Finn needed for hours of fun. Watching Finn battle a fish on a line was tremendous joy for his Dad. Through the tutelage of his Grandma Lisa, Finn was on his way to becoming a master cardplayer. He had a knack for UNO among other games, often beating adults like it was no big deal. Also, displaying the poise and patience you wouldn't expect from a young boy.

Finn was adored by his family. Grandma Lisa, who he had shared many Fridays with, playing cards, baking, and patrolling the yard in the dump truck. Grandma Rosie and Papa's place was a favorite retreat for Finn. Beau and Finn had many visits, playing games, swimming, and to watching their favorite shows together. Papa called Finn "the Professor" because of his intense focus and patience in completing tasks or building projects. Grandma Rosie doted on Finn, and always made sure that Finn was setup for a special time when he came to visit.

The whole family enjoyed visiting Pelican Lake where Finn would be with his family and enjoy swimming, co-captaining the pontoon boat, fishing, enjoying nature, and always eating well.

Finn's affectionate spirit was the glue that made our family complete, and his love will forever remain in our hearts. Though Finn may no longer be with us physically, the legacy of joy, love, and connection he leaves behind will live on forever. We will carry forward his bright spark, always remembering the beautiful soul who brought so much light into our world. Rest in peace, dear Finn. You were our little superhero, our light, and our love. We will carry you in our hearts forever.
