Elfriede Engling Obituary

Engling, Elfriede Of River Hills, WI. Born in East Prussia, Germany on March 26, 1939 to the late Friedrich and Emilie Engling and passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 86. Beloved mother of the late Angel Engling. Sister of Werner Engling. She is preceded in death by her siblings Heinz Engling and Gerda Ritzka, her former spouse Ronald Zbleski and her longtime companion Joseph Loftus. Further survived by nieces and nephews.

Elfriede's family fled to West Germany during WWII and emigrated to the USA in 1952. She was hired at Terminal-Andrae Inc. where she remained a devoted employee for 31 years and retired as vice president and comptroller at age 65. She was the president and director of Engling/Loftus Enterprises Inc., a real-estate investment company. She was also a member of Milwaukee Elk's Lodge #46.

Per Elfriede's wishes, a private burial will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park with her immediate family. In honor of Elfriede's love for animals, memorials to HAWS would be greatly appreciated.
