Diane M. Reisweber Obituary
Diane Marie Reisweber, age 77, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 28, 2023, in McGregor, Iowa.
Diane was born on March 9, 1946 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and was the daughter of the late Joseph 'JaJa' Osesek and Bridget (Klosinski) Osesek. She grew up in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Through her teens, she worked at several jobs while attending Manitowoc Lincoln High School to raise money to allow her to attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater for her undergraduate education. After graduating from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor's degree in Education, she began a 33 year career as a business teacher at Germantown High School. She became chairperson of that department and instituted the School-to-Work program. Diane also served as advisor to several clubs, including Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and founded the girls dance team 'War Chix'. Over the years, she earned a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
She married Phillip G. Reisweber and her financial acumen and investment strategies provided for a very comfortable retirement for her and Phill in McGregor, Iowas since 2001. Diane and Phill operated the Barr House Antiques store for 30 years in Marquette, Iowas from 1989-2019. Diane was known for her intelligence and class by those around her. Whenever seen, she was stylishly dressed; carrying herself with grace and quiet confidence. For those close to her, they were able to enjoy her self-deprecating sense of humor, humility, generosity, and compassion.
Surviving Diane are her husband of 52 years Phill Reisweber; her two sons Phillip IV Reisweber (Shana Shallue) of Appleton, WI and Dr. Jarrod Reisweber (Dr. Erika Reisweber) of North Dinwiddie, VA; her brother Ronald Osesek (Judy) of Hubertus, WI; 3 grandchildren, Raquel-Diane, August and Joaquin Reisweber. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and brother Donald Osesek.
Visitation for Diane will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, WI from 1 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 2:30 PM. 'Life is eternal, love is immortal. What I call death is only the horizon beyond which I cannot see.'
