Dennis John Crain Obituary

Of Menomonee Falls, surrounded by his family, died on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the age of 72 years. Dennis was born in Milwaukee on February 2, 1951, a son of the late, John and Mary Fran (nee Rohan) Crain. He was a great salesman, who throughout his career was employed by various companies specializing in both Fire Protection and Dust Collection Equipment. Dennis married Margaret "Peg" Frodl, on September 15, 1973. Known as a kind and gentle man, Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing at Deer Lake, and spending time on the farm in New London. An avid Wisconsin sport fan, he could often be found cheering on his favorite sport teams. He was active in the Knights of Columbus, where he was honored to have served as Grand Knight. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. With a wink and a big smile, he will always be remembered for his gentle reminder to "Keep Smilin".

Dennis will be dearly missed by Peg, his wife of 49 years; his daughter, Kelly (Henry) Bowles; and granddaughters Hally, Bailey, and Aubrey Bowles. He is also survived by sisters, Peg Crain, Jean (Ray) Wroblewski, Connie (Val) Galante, and brothers, Patrick (Patty) Crain and Timothy (Paula) Crain, and his Godmother, Suzie Crain. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The visitation will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 10AM until the time of the memorial service at 11:30AM at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Menomonee Falls, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are appreciated, to be donated to the charity of their choice at a later date.
