Deloris Kirkpatrick Obituary
Deloris H. Kirkpatrick (nee Valant) was called home to the Lord on January 2, 2025, at the age of 89, to be reunited with Carl, her loving husband of 58 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Valant; her sisters, Joan, Rosemary, Doris, and Jeanette; her brothers, Alfred, George Jr., and James; and her daughter, Carla Kirkpatrick Smith.
Deloris was the loving mother of the late Carla (Dan) Smith, Brian (Kim) Kirkpatrick, Kevin (Jennifer) Kirkpatrick, Cindy (Jerry) Myre, Amy (Jim) Bence, and Kelly (John) Von Rueden. She was the proud grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. We dare not forget to also remember "Belle," her cherished watchdog and companion.
Deloris taught swimming and exercise classes at the old Town and Country YMCA in Oconomowoc for 25 years. She was an avid swimmer and racquetball player. Deloris lived simply, humbly, and well, always sharing what she had. She was a long-time member of St. Jerome Catholic Church since 1967.
In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held so that her family and friends may remember her in life rather than in death. She will be remembered for her generous and loving ways. Her ashes will be joined with those of her husband.
If desired, memorials in her name may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project or Operation Finally Home.
