Charles F. Smith Obituary

Chuck passed away May 26th, 2022, at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Frieda (Poverski) who preceded him in death in 1998. He is also preceded by his first granddaughter, Heather (Jason). Adored father-in-law of Lydia (Mark), and son Edward. Chuck is further survived by his grandchildren, Allie (James), Brittany (Caleb), and Tyler (Nyla), great grandsons Talon and Trey, and dear friend Marlene.

Chuck was born January 19th, 1934, in Wausau Wisconsin to Arthur and Emma Smith (Bliss). He was the youngest of three siblings (Edward and Lucile). Chuck served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 and was a Korean War Veteran. He loved food (his daughter in law's cooking in particular), sports, and spending time with his family. Chuck will forever be remembered for his sharp wit and sense of humor, which he maintained even in his final days. His jokes and contagious smile will be missed by all who knew him.

Chuck was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church (Oconomowoc) and was very devoted to his faith. A private celebration of life will be held at a further date.
