Adena J. (Rankin) Schlei Obituary

Died peacefully on June 7, 2022 at age 90. Wife and best friend for 59 years to the late Robert "Bob". Mother of Janet (Corky) Curtis and Bruce (Kelly) Schlei. Loving grandmother to Patrick Curtis, Kailyn (Wade) Crook, Tyler Schlei, Carolyn (Bob) Brzonznowski, Abbey (Andy) Anderson, and Sunnie (Jeff) Martens. Proud great-grandmother of Rhett, Warren, Breckyn, Brad, AvaTaylor, Steven, MaryGrace, Owen, Emmett, Jameson, and Penelope. Sister of Marjorie Schlei and Martha Page. Sister-in-law of Ruth Rankin and Mahala Rankin. Further survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceded in death by siblings Helen (John) Lyon, Stephen Rankin, and Gordon Rankin; and sisters-in-law BettyJane (Arnie) Peterson and Shirley (Charles) Zimmermann.

DeeDee retired from the Sussex Hamilton School District. She was a lifelong member of the Lisbon Presbyterian Church. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A private graveside service will be held at Lisbon Central Cemetery. Memorials to Sussex Lisbon Area Historical Society Inc. are appreciated.
