He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Hanseter and Anna Hanseter; his siblings, Gilbert Hanseter and Mary Jo Kelly; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Hanseter and Sel Micka.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Hanseter; his children, Mike Hanseter (Jean), Lisa Hanseter and Marc Hanseter (Margaret); his grandchildren, Christine Stitt (Daniel), David Hanseter, Alex Green and Aron Hanseter; his great grandchild Violet Stitt; his siblings, Russell Hanseter, Susan Doemel (Bob), Gloria Robl (Tom) and Patty Micka; and his brother-in-law Bob Kelly.
