He was predeceased by: his parents, Bradford Smith and Ruth Smith (Skrypczak); his siblings-in-law, George and Allamae Nickel; his brother Gerald "Jerry" Smith; his sister-in-law Judy Smith; and his nephew Morgan.
He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son John Smith (Rachael) of Oakfield, WI; his granddaughters, Victoria and Allison Smith; his brother Jim Smith; his sisters-in-law, Ruthe Smith and Jennie Land (Mike); and his nieces and nephews, Kristy, Keri (Chris), Josh, Emma, Mike, John, Justin, Kim, Jody, Todd, Brad and JJ. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
