He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Murphy and Evelyn Murphy (Vanden Brand); his former wife Kathryn Hackstock; and his wife Katie Murphy. He is survived by: his sons, Tim Murphy (Karen) of Greenfield and Dan (Marty Padilla-Murphy) of Chicago; his grandson Bryson Murphy; and his sister Patricia Murphy of Appleton.
The family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed to the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve or St. John Catholic Church.
