She was predeceased by: her parents, Matthias Backes and Josephina Backes (Lauer); her husband Bernard Henry Van Lankvelt; her parents-in-law, John and Hendrika Van Lankvelt; her granddaughter Avalon Rolf; and her siblings, Eugene Backes (Jane), Marion Lorenz (Orville), Arline Zieman (Orlyn), Karl Backes (Dolly), Wesley Backes (Anita), Paul Backes (Agnes) and Matthew Backes (Pat).
She is survived by: her children, Rose Martell (Bill), Jean Reed (Mark), Peter Van Lankvelt, Paul Van Lankvelt (Lynn), Julie DuBois, James Van Lankvelt and Susan Rolf (Bill); her grandchildren, Anemone Beaulier (Scott), Daniel Martell (Anna), Peter Martell (Beth), Mariah Reed, Jennifer Reed, Lisa Sorrell (George), Erik Van Lankvelt (Shannon), Sara Cass, Amanda Walter (Travis), Gabrielle Barnier (Joe), Damien DuBois, James Van Lankvelt (Kristin), Luke Rolf and Henry Rolf; and her great grandchildren, Lilla, Roma, Maddux, Thaddeus, Greyson, Ethan, Brandt, Isabella, Allen, Elijah, Elara, Maggie, Willa, Miles, Liam, Aubree and Olivia. She is also survived by many other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (324 Nicolet Blvd, Menasha, WI 54952). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Patrick's Parish (324 Nicolet Blvd, Menasha, WI 54952).
