He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Brandtmeier and Mildred Brandtmeier (Reetz); his wife Phyllis Wimberger; his daughter Heather Stingle; and his brothers-in-law, Michael Olson, Joseph, Cyril "Wimpy" and James Wimberger.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Techlin (Travis) and Kayla Wells (Adam); his son-in-law Lee Stingle; his siblings, William Brandtmeier (Jan), Shirley Olson and Michael Brandtmeier (Julie); his parents-in-law, Mary VanLankvelt (Bill Holt), Barb, Nancy and John Wimberger; and his wife's children, Sadie Diedrick (Tom), Theresa Bumann, Cathleen Diedrick (Travis) and Tracy Engleman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
