He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy O. Dunn and Gertrude Dunn (Dettinger); his son-in-law Joey Beard; and his brothers-in-law, Willy Hostrawser, Jack Guy and Rick Young.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Young); his children, Darren Dunn (Shelayne), Brad Ramsey (Jane), Teresa Reetz (Kerry), Kari Peterson (Corey), Tyler Dunn (Elley) and Hayley Beard; his grandchildren, Tanner, Conner Dunn, Erik, Meghan Ramsey, Jason Reetz, Seth, Brooke, Brett Peterson, Griffin, Parker Dunn, Elsie and Molly Beard; his sisters, Darlene Hostrawser and Jeanette Guy; and his siblings-in-law, Dennis Young (Alice) and Karleen Young. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Melrose United Methodist Church, The Melrose First Responders or The Melrose Fire Department.
