We bid farewell to Dolores (Proft) Anderson of Melrose, Wisconsin, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 12, 2024 at the age of 93. Dolores touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. As Dolores departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Dolores may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Dolores leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Vance Mitchell and Palma Mitchell; her former husband Jerry Proft; her husband David Anderson; and her sons, Pete and John Proft.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Proft (Paula) and Debbie Kreibich (Tim) of Mindoro; her daughter-in-law Kris Proft; and her close friend Orea Erickson. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Melrose United Methodist Church (101 Douglas St, Melrose, WI 54642). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
