She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex Winkel and Clara Winkel (Theilig); her husband Henry Dassow; her sister Carol Winkel; and her sister-in-law Marie Winkle.
She is survived by: her children, Darla Dassow of Robbinsdale, MN and Lorin Dassow (Florene) of Medford; her grandchildren, Nathaniel Swenson (Anne), Rebecca Swenson, Elizabeth Swenson, Jodi Behling (Don) and Kristy Carlson (James); her great grandchildren, Kiarah Behling, Ashton Behling, Chase Reichert, Deacon Carlson, Caden Carlson, Evan Swenson and Sophie Swenson; and her siblings, Mardell Longsdorf (Dick) and Darrell Winkel. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are being accepted in Janice's name to be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church in Medford.
