It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Roger Staffeil of Medford, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 21, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Staffeil and Grace Staffeil (Hertz); his sister Sharon Schmitz; his brother-in-law Terry Slowiak; and his parents-in-law, Roman and Julianne Beste.

He is survived by: his wife Cheryl "Cheri" Beste; his children, Tonia Gilray (Ron) and Daniel Staffeil (Erika); his grandchildren, Peyton, Madison Gilray, Cole, Jenna Butalla, Brooke Murphy and Klaire Staffeil; his siblings, Diane Slowiak, Cheryl Barrick (Kenny), Carol Chapman (Herb), Jeff Staffeil (Lisa) and Kevin Staffeil; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Schmitz, David Beste (Jane), Sally Frey (Tom), Renee DeHavan (Jack), Sue Schimelfenyg (Dick) and Lynne Sparks.
