He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Rice and Rachel Rice (Joyce); his siblings, Richard Rice, Maureen Mooney and Theresa Rice; and his siblings-in-law, Alfred Anderson, Howard Holz, Sharlene Rice and Judy McDermott.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Becky" McDermott; his son Patrick Rice (Deanna); his grandchildren, Molly, Mandy and Morgan; his sons, Todd Rice and Scott Rice (Sandy); his grandchildren, Jacob and Joey; his son Jeffrey Rice; his siblings, Diane Anderson, Donna Holz, Thomas Rice (Beverly), Michael Rice, Patrick Rice (Carole), Jerome Rice (Jan), Mary Dana (Steve), Daniel Rice (Sandy) and John Rice (Rita); and his siblings-in-law, Tom Mooney, Robert McDermott (Judy Ryan) and Helen Rice. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or UW Renal Transplant Program .
